Lymphatic massage is a gentle technique that stimulates the lymphatic system and helps the body eliminate toxins and excess fluid. It can have various benefits for health and wellness, such as reducing edema, lymphedema, inflammation, and stress. However, lymphatic massage also has some potential side effects and dangers that you should be aware of before booking a session.
Lymphatic massage can cause dehydration, so it is important to drink plenty of water before and after the session. Lymphatic massage can aggravate certain medical conditions, such as congestive heart failure, kidney problems, infections, blood clots, or cancer. Therefore, it is advisable to consult with your doctor before receiving a lymphatic massage. Lymphatic massage can cause temporary symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, headache, or flu-like feelings. These are normal signs of detoxification and should subside within a few days.
